Palumbo to leave NDRC team

The Fabietti Racing ACDelco Team will be looking for a new driver with Ronnie Palumbo to leave after the Winternationals.
Palumbo and the ACDelco Holden Monaro have grown to become one of the top contenders in Top Doorslammber in the National Drag Racing Championship.
Since his debut in the spring of 2023, he would be a regular in the A Finals and occasional winner.
Palumbo will always hold a special place in the Fabietti Racing ACDelco Team’s hearts racing in memory of Sam Fenech, who tragically passed away in a crash in January 2023.

As a result the team has nothing but good things to say as Palumbo will depart following June’s Winternationals.
“The ACDelco team would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Ronnie Palumbo for his remarkable contributions during his time with us,” said team owner Maurice Fabietti.
“His dedication, passion, and exceptional commitment have left an indelible mark on the team, and his efforts have been integral to our shared successes.
“Ronnie has been an outstanding member of the ACDelco family, and it has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented and driven individual.
“As he embarks on the next chapter of his racing career, we are confident that his skill, determination, and perseverance will continue to propel him toward great achievements.
“We wish Ronnie every success in his future racing ventures and look forward to seeing his continued contributions to the world of motorsport.”
Palumbo was just as emotional announcing the decision to leave.
“It with a heavy heart that I have made the decision to leave the ACDelco Doorslammer Team after this year’s Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway,” he said.
“Firstly I would like to thank Maurice and Mary Fabietti for the incredible opportunity they have given me, it’s been a dream come true.
“To the crew Phil, Duane, Mel, Toby, George and Paul, you all have been incredible, your dedication is truly inspiring.
“Last of all to my Mum, I know your heart is in your throat every single time the car starts but you still come and watch every single pass.
“Even though you were hesitant at first thank you for your love and endless support, I hope I have made you proud.
“Thanks for the moments and the memories, this is not the end, it’s only the beginning.
“I will still be heavily involved in drag racing here and across the globe in every which way I can, this is my life. Keep your eyes peeled for what my future holds.”
