De Pasquale to get early Team 18 laps

By Thomas Miles

As Anton De Pasquale gears up for the transition from Mustang to Camaro, he will get some early laps at Bathurst.

De Pasquale and Cameron Waters have been named as the two drivers to do Supercars category testing at the Meguiars Bathurst 12 Hour this weekend.

It is a boost for De Pasquale who has made the move from Dick Johnson Racing to Team 18 in 2025.

As a result he will drive the Chevrolet Camaro for the first time at Mount Panorama, three weeks before the season opener at Sydney Motorsport Park.

On Thursday, February 13 he will enjoy a shakedown in a new Team 18 chassis before all 24 cars go testing on the Wednesday prior to the opening round.

Waters will drive a Tickford Mustang as he is also on driving duties for Scott Taylor Motorsport with Craig Lowndes and Thomas Randle at the 12 Hour.

The Ford star is fresh from a big summer of speedway, including making the A Main and winning a heat at the grand Annual Sprintcar Classic.

The Team 18 and Tickford cars have been picked because they are the same as the ones driven by David Reynolds and Thomas Randle at the last category test session at The Bend.

At Bathurst they will be fitted with Supercars data sensors and the new 2025 tyres.
