Aussie Le Mans winner returning to Bathurst

Boosted by his Le Mans 24 Hours class success, Yasser Shahin will take on the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour once again with his brother.
Yasser and Sam Shahin will form the basis of a yet to be finalised line up in a current-specification Porsche 992 GT3R entered by The Bend and again prepared by Manthey EMA Racing.
The Shahins are the defending Pro-Am class winners and return to retain their title.
Yasser Shahin enjoyed an unforgettable 2024 season, taking on the FIA World Endurance Championship for the first time.
It was a successful campaign with the Australian driving for Manthey EMA, finishing second alongside Richard Lietz and Morris Schuring.
The highlight of their season was class victory at the dramatic 2024 Le Mans 24 Hours, which followed another victory at Spa.
Meanwhile, Sam also competed in the Porsche Supercup Championship for the first time alongside the Australian Carrera Cup.
In the top tier Supercup that runs alongside the Formula 1, Sam Shahin finished 21st in the championship with best result of 19th at Monza.
The car will be completed by two yet-to-be-revealed Pro level drivers.
The 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour will be on January 31-February 2.
