2025 Trophy Tour: A New Era for Motorsport in Australia

Motorsport Australia has officially launched its 2025 Trophy Tour, a six-weekend program that promises to bring together a diverse range of national classes and state series racing categories. This initiative aims to elevate the prominence of state-level racing while maintaining high standards of competition.
The provisional calendar for the 2025 Trophy Tour includes race weekends at some of Australia’s most iconic circuits: Sydney Motorsport Park, Winton Raceway, Queensland Raceway, Phillip Island GP Circuit, and One Raceway.
This tour is a collaborative effort between Motorsport Australia, circuits, and organising clubs, all working together to ensure national-level racing across the country.
Lisa Crampton, Motorsport Australia’s Sporting & Technical Director, emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating, “The Trophy Tour empowers circuits and clubs to manage events sanctioned by Motorsport Australia via a new National Permit structure for this project, within Motorsport Australia’s proven framework”.
This new structure aims to facilitate motorsport events for participants at all levels, develop officials, and implement best-practice policies to ensure safe and fair competition.
The Trophy Tour also offers existing state-level rounds the opportunity to join the national tour if a national category enters their event. With 21 eligible state-level events to choose from, the tour is expected to expand, incorporating select state rounds into the six full weekend events. This expansion is a testament to the collaborative efforts between Motorsport Australia, clubs, and track owners, all working towards promoting competitive motorsport at all levels.
The provisional calendar was developed after extensive discussions with clubs and track owners, capturing requests from 16 national categories. Signed letters of intent have secured this calendar, enabling multi-category racing across nearly every state in Australia.
“We are grateful for the support and cooperation from circuits and affiliated clubs to publish such an extensive list of events upon which categories can now build their national calendars,” Crampton added.
