The Bend launches its own race series

The Bend Motorsport Park has launched its own racing competition called APEX League, which begins in November.
The racing league based at the state-of-the-art circuit in Tailem Bend, South Australia will be exclusive to GT Sportscar Drivers with amateur drivers the target audience.
The APEX League will be split into three classes – APEX Trophy, APEX Cup and APEX Challenge – with the first meeting on November 28.
This will be a one-off affair however, before a full season takes place in 2025.
The APEX League is based on a single-day racing format to allow time-poor drivers to get maximum track time.
Each meeting will kick off with an open 90-minute practice session followed by a 25-minute qualifying and a pair 25-minute races.
The APEX Trophy will feature GT3, GT2 and MARC II machines, APEX Cup includes Lamborghini Super Trofeo and ex-Porsche Carrera Cup cars alongside Ferrari World Challenge and MARC I vehicles, while APEX Challenge is designed for high-performance Production based Sportscars and GT4 machinery.
The Bend Motorsport Park Operations Manager Adam Brook believes this is a special new way for drivers to enjoy the circuit.
“We are never standing still and are constantly looking for ways we can utilise our facilities to offer Australia’s best racing opportunities to new and existing participants,” he said.
“We’ve worked closely with the sports governing body in Motorsport Australia to develop a product that we can be proud of and that delivers an experience amateur racers can’t get elsewhere.”
