Speedy sons Nash Morris and Aaron Seton will join the GT4 Australia field this weekend where the Porsche Sprint Challenge title race kicks up a gear.

A 16-car field will go racing in GT4 with Morris and Seton both editions for Round 3 at Queensland Raceway this weekend.

The season switches to endurance mode with three one-hour races on the schedule.

Method Motorsport run by Chaz Mostert is the form team after an impressive podium run at The Bend.

In the opener all three Method Motorsport cars locked out the podium with Marcos Flack and Tom Hayman leading the way.

Although the Ford GT4 of Rylan Gray and George Miedeckie ended up on top on Sunday, the Method Motorsport trio still completed the top four.

With Shane Smollen, Tom Hayman, Nathan Morcom and Tom McLennan all in good form, the team will be hunting as a pack once again.

Gray and Miedecke are the winningest combination on the grid with three appearances in victory lane so far.

These names are currently fighting for Silver Cup honours which Flack and Hayman lead, but not by much with only four points the difference.

Seton will join forces with Jake Camilleri in a Mercedes GT4, while Morris will also steer the three-pointed star in Pro Am with Mark Griffith.

Griffith will be hoping to use Morris as an ace to hunt down Jacob Lawrence in the Am Cup with the latter enjoying a 29-point advantage having shown strong pace with John Bowe.

Minseeff and Smollen are the only drivers in Pro Am to have taken part in all four races so far and will continue their streak at Ipswich.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge title fight steps up as the season heads into the second half at Queensland Raceway.

A 23-car field will be racing around the “Paperclip” which many drivers would be familiar with.

Grove junior Oscar Targett holds the edge in the title battle with a 26-point advantage over Brock Gilchrist.

However, the chasing pack is very tight with Hamish Fitzsimmons, Aron Shields, Clay Osborne, Caleb Sumich and Tyler Greenbury all covered by just 65 points.

Former Sprint Challenge race winner Ryan Suhle could be fighting amongst those names as he returns to the championship for the first time in three years and is one the comeback trail following a season away from the sport.

The likes of Scott Taylor and Rob Woods are returning, while Mark Darling will make his debut on home turf.

The GT4s and Porsches are part of a busy SpeedSeries round which is on this weekend from August 2-4.
