Early dramas for Kostecki

It appears the opening race of the Darwin Triple Crown is over before it began for reigning champion Brodie Kostecki.
In a further blow in what has been a tough weekend for Kostecki, he was unable to make the start of Race 11.
The #1 Erebus Motorsport Chevrolet Camaro was set to start 11th, but dramas first appeared on the grid with multiple team members working on the car.
When it was time for the warm up lap 24 cars got away cleanly, but not Kostecki, who required a push and a bump start.
He was eventually able to crawl his way around Hidden Valley to make it to the pits.
But instead of starting from the pit lane, the #1 was stuck in the garage and did not start the race.
It is the latest chapter of what has been a tough return to Supercars to Kostecki, who is yet to finish in the top 10 since he came back at Taupo.
He was on track for a strong result on the Sunday in Perth running with the front runners before engine issues cut that race short.
On this occasion Kostecki is unsure exactly what has been causing headaches all weekend.
“Unfortunately this weekend has just been plagued with problems,” he said.
“We have had a problem with the engine not feeling quite right.
“I went to leave the pits and pit the clutch in to take off and the lights went off.
“Tried to make the out lap and it was just stalling the whole time.
“I am not quite sure what it is. We think it is electrical but we will see.”
After 14 laps Broc Feeney leads Mark Winterbottom and James Golding.
