Lowndes Chevrolet gets new partner for Finke

Craig Lowndes’ and Dale Moscatt’s Finke Desert Race campaign in the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 has a new and important partner on board in Racer Industries.

Racer Industries has teamed up with Chevrolet Racing to supply racing apparel and equipment, supported by HULK 4X4 and Ignite Lighting.

With Lowndes being a Supercars legend and Moscatt a Dakar Rally and Australian Rally Champion co-driver behind the wheel of a factory supported Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 Off-Road Racer, all eyes will be on the black and gold machine.

Racer Industries will provide the supply of Sparco apparel, including race suits, racing shoes, fire resistant undergarments, gloves and balaclavas, complemented by a range of general hard parts and equipment.

HULK 4X4 accessories and Ignite Lighting products will also be fitted to light up the Silverado.

Racer Industries’ Business Development Manager – Performance Mathew Nilsson said it is a natural partnership for the famous Finke.

“Racer Industries is incredibly excited to support this collaboration between Chevrolet Racing, the motorsport arm of General Motors Australia and New Zealand, and GM Speciality Vehicles, and the partnership of Craig Lowndes and Dale Moscatt,” he said.

“The Finke Desert Race truly is a unique outback event, famed for being one of the most difficult off-road races in the world, and we are excited by the opportunity to support the program with a range of products to meet the demands of such unique conditions for the vehicle, drivers and crew.”

Chevrolet Racing General Manager Chris Payne said it is all part of the process to provide the best equipment possible to complete Finke.

“Chevrolet Racing and Racer Industries are aligned in our objective to provide Craig and Dale with the most reliable and competitive equipment to get the job done in the Silverado ZR2 at Finke, and that’s why we’ve chosen these leading products from Sparco, HULK 4X4, and Ignite Lighting,” he said.

The 2024 Finke Desert Race is not far away on June 7-10.
