DAYNE Kingshott was the star of the Perth Motorplex show last Saturday, winning the night’s thirty-lap feature race as part of the fourteenth Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series round.

Kingshott was on the podium with second place-racer Callum Williamson, and third-placer Brad Maiolo.

His success in Perth marked his sixth feature win, having begun the race in position three in the car he described as a rocketship.

“If you can drive by the 3 (Williamson) here in a feature race, you know you have something right,” Kingshott said.

Taylor Milling and Kris Coyle came in at fourth and fifth place respectively, while the Kincrome Hard Charger award was presented to position 16-starter, Jason Kendrick, who advanced 10 places.

Having been unwell, Ryan Lancaster returned to the speedway, advancing six places.

Defending series champion, James Inglis, who had been in Kingshott’s sights, crashed with Aaron Chircop and didn’t finish in Perth.

Hooray, F1 is back. Boo, Max Verstappen wins. The Bahrain Grand Prix was a little underwhelming, but at least there was racing… and scandal. There was plenty of scandel, but we don’t do that stuff apparently, so we don’t talk about Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner and Jos Verstappen.
