Demand for the first Supercars race in New Zealand in two years is so high, more tickets, including an extra grandstand, are now available at Taupo Motorsport Park.
With the grandstand seats that were initially on sale already exhausted, Supercars will construct an extra stand within the turns 12-14 chicane that finishes the lap.
Furthermore, extra general admission tickets, plus a new corporate facility have been made available.
Guests who pre-registered via the Supercars website can purchase tickets now, with public sale from today at 14.00 NZ time and 12.00 AEDT.
The new Gold Reserved Grandstand will be situated between the current Platinum stands at turns 12 and 14 on the outside of the circuit providing a view of not only the left-right-left chicane to end the lap, but also the long straight and start-finish line.
The new corporate facility called the “Taupo Lounge” will be situated at Turn 9, which is a flowing right hander as the track opens up from the technical start.
Supercars CEO Shane Howard is delighted to see the demand for Taupo’s first Supercars race so high.
“With just 60 days’ to go until our debut in Taupō, we are incredibly excited about our return to New Zealand,” he said.
“This announcement today that we are able to install another grandstand is because of the demand from fans who are counting down the days until our debut at this amazing circuit in one of the most scenic parts of the world we have ever raced.”
The Jason Richards Memorial Trophy will go on the line at the ITM Taupo Super400 from April 19-21.
