Seven to screen SpeedSeries

Channel Seven has expanded its motorsport offering by signing a new two-year deal to broadcast every round of the SpeedSeries.
Each round of the 2024 and 2025 SpeedSeries seasons will be broadcast on the streaming platform 7plus, while selected rounds will also be broadcast on free to air TV channel 7mate, including next year’s opener at Sandown.
An expanded 10-round calendar is in store for 2024 where categories such as Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, GT World Challenge Australia, National Trans Am Series, GT4 and Porsche Sprint Challenge will be on show.
SpeedSeries joins Supercars, Bathurst 12 Hour, National Drag Racing Championship, Australian Rally Championship and Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship as motorsport categories broadcast by Seven.

For the last two seasons SpeedSeries has been broadcast by Channel Nine’s subscription service Stan Sport where the likes of Greg Rust, Molly Taylor, Richard Craill and Matt White featured in the broadcast team.
Motorsport Australia CEO Sunil Vohra was delighted to announce the new deal with Seven and said commentator announcements will be coming soon.
“We’re excited to be expanding our existing partnership with the hard-working team at Seven to be bringing more motorsport more often to fans,” Vohra said.
“We know how important it is for motorsport fans across the country to be able to access their content live and free, but also on demand, and the 7plus platform in particular will be a huge boost for the refreshed SpeedSeries, alongside the rally and off road content that is already at home with Seven.
“Next year promises to deliver a huge year of motorsport across all our platforms and we can’t wait for Sandown to begin our season in 2024, with live and free coverage of the new-look Shannons SpeedSeries.

“Over the coming weeks and months, we expect to have some exciting announcements about our talent line up and production partners heading into the 2024 season across the various broadcasts.”
Seven Network Head of Sport Lewis Martin was “ecstatic” to add SpeedSeries to its long list of sports.
“As Your Home of Motorsport, we are ecstatic to deliver even more high-octane action to fans all over Australia, live and free on Seven and 7plus,” Martin said.
“With event coverage of the SpeedSeries, Australian Rally Championship, Off-Road Championship, and the Supercars Championship, Seven and 7plus has Australians covered for the biggest and best motorsport events year-round.

“We look forward to continuing our great partnership with Motorsport Australia to deliver epic content that is accessible to all Australians, live and free on Seven and 7plus.”
The first SpeedSeries event of the new deal to be screened on Seven will be at Sandown on February 9-11.
It kicks off an exciting triple header with the Sandown SpeedSeries followed by the Bathurst 12 Hour and Bathurst 500 on back-to-back-to-back weekends.
