Fresh new look for Randle

Thomas Randle new castrol livery

By Thomas Miles

Thomas Randle will be racing with a fresh new look on his #55 Tickford Ford Mustang for the Townsville 500.

To coincide with sponsor Castrol making an update to its recognisable logo, Randle’s livery has also received a significant makeover.

The second-year driver has raced with a predominately green car in his first two seasons with the 2023 version also including a nod to the past with a small element of the “tic tac” design.

But now there is significantly more white across the car with the colour adorning the entire bonnet and most of the side.

Instead of a green covering the entire car, the colour is now pictured in waves across the middle and bottom of the Mustang.

It is a significant step away from the traditional Castrol liveries which have historically been dominated by black, red or green.

But now white is the primary colour after the Castrol logo received its first change in over two decades since 2002.

Randle, who sits down in 19th in the championship, is a fan of his new look.

“I think this design embodies Castrol’s commitment to pushing boundaries and driving innovation, both on and off the track and I’m excited to be debuting it here at Townsville,” he said.

“Castrol has always been synonymous with quality and performance and the refreshed design truly captures the spirit of their brand.

The last time Castrol changed its logo and style of livery was 2002. Russell Ingall pictured at the Australian Grand Prix.

“I’m honoured to be driving the Castrol Racing Mustang and can’t wait to see how the fans respond to the new look.”
