PODCAST: MORE ON THE GEN3 PARITY ADJUSTMENTS

Ford-Coyote-V8 Supercar engine -Herrod-Performance-Gen3-Supercar-Engine

This time it was an update to the Ford Mustang’s Gen3 engine mapping and Bruce Williams has explained why the minor Mustang engine issue is bigger than it seems on the AUTO ACTION Rev Limiter Podcast.

The change to the engine map has been taken to bring the Coyote back to the Chevrolet.

It gave the Ford a low-part throttle stumble, which is part of the reason why the Ford drivers have had a lack of traction in their Gen3 Mustang.

“This isn’t when they put their foot down, this is when they are balancing and to squeeze the throttle on when coming out of a corner,” Williams explained in the latest episode of the AUTO ACTION Rev Limiter Podcast.

“In an effort to get through it, most of the drivers are probably having to put down a bit harder than they’d like to get through this hesitation.”

He says it could be one of the reasons why the Fords were cooking the rear tyres.

It’s one of the topics on Gen3 Supercars discussed in the weeks episode of the Auto Action Rev limiter podcast.
