QUARTARARO ON MOTOGP POLE

Fabio Quartararo will start from pole in the MotoGP World Championship Grand Prix of Indonesia after setting the fastest time in qualifying.

The reigning champion clocked a 01m 31.0670s in Q2 to take front spot, comfortably quicker than Jorge Martin who will start next to him.

Martin’s Pramac Racing teammate Johann Zarco will start from third, KTM rider Brad Binder who was 0.366s off the pace in fourth.

Italian duo Enea Bastianini and Francesco Bagnaia have locked up fifth and sixth, while Miguel Oliveira made it two KTMs in the top 10.

Alex Rins led Aussie Jack Miller, who was ninth fastest 0.647s off the pace.

Aleix Espargaro rounded out the top 10, while Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli just missed out.

Ducati man Luca Marini was the quickest of the riders to not make it to Q2, putting himself 13th.

Marco Bezzechi will start just in front of MotoGP legend Marc Marquez.

Pol Espargaro, Andrea Dovizioso and Joan Mir make up a talented sixth row.

Alex Marquez and Maverick Vinales both just made the top 20, young KTM duo Raul Fernandez and Remy Gardner behind them.

Gardner set a 1m 32.140, just over a second off the polesitter.

Darryn Binder and Takaaki Nakagami will start from the rear of the grid for the race tomorrow.
