These two rounds are the only events on the revised calendar that will take place as planned with racing scheduled to be held at Symmons Plains from January 24-26 and closely followed by the national level motorsport return to Baskerville Raceway on January 30-31.
It is unknown at this point in time, three months out from the event, if paddock access will be allowed due to the pandemic.
The original calendar for this year which was due to open at the Australian Grand Prix was severely altered before being scrapped due to COVID-19 related restrictions around the country.
However, these two Tasmanian events, which were introduced as part of the revised calendar to conclude the 2020 season are now expected to open the 2021 season instead.
The Symmons Plains event is scheduled to run four national categories, TCR Australia, S5000, Touring Car Masters and Trans Am, with the unique prospect of starting on Sunday (24/1) so that the race meeting concludes on Australia Day on the following Tuesday.
While Baskerville is set to host unique Trans Am and TCR Australia races as well as S5000 demonstrations. Tasmanian State Categories and Bathurst 24 Hour Monaro Laps will also feature on both programs.
The news of the Tassie ticket sales comes the same week that the Tasmanian government announced it will open all its borders to all states except to Victoria from November 6.
