James Courtney will make his debut on-board a Ford Mustang tonight, albeit a virtually, when he returns to the BP All-Stars Eseries.

Following a twist of fate that sees Courtney returning to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship to drive the Tickford Racing prepared Ford Mustang when the series resumes June 27/28 at Sydney Motorsport Park, the 2010 Champion will line-up for his second start in the ESeries.

The 39-year old will run the #44 on his Boost back Mustang switching over from the Holden Commodore he ran in Round Five at Spa.

Tonight’s round of the Supercars ESeries will see competitors tackle Interlagos (formally known as Autódromo José Carlos Pace) home of the Brazilian Grand Prix as well as a fan-determined second circuit, with a poll of the Supercars Facebook Page to determine between Spa-Francorchamps or Phillip Island.

Courtney won’t be the only wildcard to compete in tonight’s round of the ESeries. James Golding, Mark Winterbottom’s co-driver, will make his ESeries debut alongside Dunlop Super2 driver Tyler Everingham and BP Ultimate Wildcard competition winner, Fawzan El-Nabi.

Qualifying for the eighth round on the ESeries will begin at 6:00pm AEST and will be broadcast exclusively on Fox Sports 506 before racing begins at 7:00pm.
