International open-wheel rising star and son of Moto GP legend Mick Doohan, Jack Doohan will make a wildcard in the fifth round BP Supercars All Stars Eseries.

The Red Bull Junior Team driver will take over the #33 Red Bull Holden Commodore entry that Max Verstappen ran in Round 3 for Wednesday nights races at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Nürburgring Grand-Prix-Strecke.

Doohan, who hails from the Gold Coast but has complete much of his racing overseas is looking forward to testing himself in a virtual Supercar.

“I’m really looking forward to joining the Red Bull Holden team for the night. The Race is at Spa which is one of my favourite circuits and a new challenge driving a V8 Supercar so it’s going to be an awesome night.” said Doohan.

“I’ve done quite a bit of iRacing with Shane (van Gisbergen) just in hosted online races, it’s been great to be able to race with him and obviously he will be really quick in the Eseries like he is in all our online races, so hopefully I can get in some practice and get up to speed.”

“Previously at Spa I finished on the podium in Euroformula last year which was quite a good weekend, the long straights and the tight Sector 2 makes for some great racing and it’s one of my favourite tracks.

Doohan is due to continue the same path taken by the likes of Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen to a Formula 1 career and is set to race FIA Formula 3 Championship with HWA RACELAB once racing resumes.

Qualifying for the fifth round will begin Wednesday night at 6:00pm AEST and will be broadcast exclusively on Fox Sports 506 before racing begins at 7:00pm which will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 506, Kayo, Sky Sports (NZ), 10 Play and Supercars social media channels.
