Kostecki Brothers Racing will contest all three Pirtek Enduro Cup events this season with a series of wildcard entries.
Dunlop Super2 drivers and cousins Brodie Kostecki and Jake Kostecki will team up for the Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 600 and Sandown 500, marking the debut for both drivers in the main game.
The Kostecki pair will use the Triple Eight-built Holden currently being run by Jake in Super2, the car is currently being changed from a VF into a ZB Commodore.
This move will see Jake take the wheel of Brodie’s Commodore for the remainder of the Super2 season, while Brodie will stand on the sidelines.
While 21-year-old Brodie is fourth in the Super2 standings and 19-year-old Jake is fifth, the team feels the latter is in need of the extra experience ahead of his main game debut.
“Our goal has always been to reach the main game,” Brodie told Supercars.com.

Last week Brodie had his first taste of a ZB during a Red Bull HRT evaluation test in which he drove Shane van Gisbergens #97 Commodore.
“We were looking at a few options for a co-drive and we felt our team has the capability to do it. We have some smart, experienced people, so why not have a crack at it?
“The plan has been in place for a long time, but we just didn’t know exactly how we were going to execute it, if we were going to rent a car or convert one of our own cars.
“With the direction we’ve taken, we thought it would be better to give Jake the extra miles in the next two events, rather than myself.”
Although 19 years of age, Jake is already competing in his fourth Super2 Season with his family-run squad, the youngest Kostecki feels he’s ready for Supercars’ biggest events.
“I can’t wait. It’s been a long time in the making, it’s been what I’ve wanted to do for a long time now,” he said.
“We’re not going to go in there and do anything crazy or be right up the front, but we’re going to aim to be somewhere in the pack.”
At this stage the team is undecided whether Jake will perform double duties in the main game and Super2 at Bathurst.
“We’ll see how we go at Townsville and QR,” he said. “If I’m up there [in the standings], and I’m hoping I will be, I’ll push on with both.”
As a team, KBR has entered two previous wildcards running Jake’s brother Kurt at Queensland Raceway and at The Bend Motorsport Park last year and is understood to be chasing a co-driver role for the 2019 Pirtek Enduro Cup.

'description' => 'The Supercars Championship, currently known as the Repco Supercars Championship, is the premier motorsport category in Australasia and one of Australia\'s biggest sports. It originated from the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), which held its first race in 1960 at Gnoo-Blas in Orange, New South Wales. The ATCC evolved over the years, and in 1997, it was rebranded as the V8 Supercars Championship, eventually becoming the Supercars Championship we know today.
Some of the leading drivers in the history of the Supercars Championship include Peter Brock, who is often referred to as the "King of the Mountain" for his nine victories at the Bathurst 1000, a race that is considered one of the biggest in the series. Other notable drivers include Dick Johnson, Marcos Ambrose, Craig Lowndes, Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup, who holds the record for the most championship titles, and Mark Skaife, who has also been a dominant force in the series.
The Bathurst 1000, held at Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, is arguably the most famous race in the Supercars calendar. Other significant races include the Sandown 500 and the Adelaide 500, which are known for their challenging circuits and thrilling competitions.
