TRACK PERTH UNVEILED IN WA

A new racetrack is being planned for Western Australia.
The company behind the project, the Stati Group, has confirmed that an application has been made for a purpose-built motorsport complex in Keysbrook, south of Perth.
The new venue, known Track Perth, is being developed in consultation with the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport [CAMS] and during the planning process to ensure it’s relevance and Motorcycling Australia [MA].
The track’s design is being executed in association with UK design consultants Apex Circuit Design Limited, the company behind the redevelopment of Sydney Motorsport Park.
At 3.5-kilometres, The Track Perth features multiple circuit configurations, with a 3.53km/Dogleg, a 3.55km/North circuit and a 1.16km/South circuit of 2.28km.
The facility is also planned to include a karting circuit and conference facilities for corporate drive and ride events.
CAMS CEO Eugene Arocca said any new track would be a significant boost to the local economy, while also providing invaluable track time for Western Australian motor sport lovers.
“We know how popular permanent circuits are around Australia and you only have to look at the interest in South Australia’s newest track, Tailem Bend, to understand the positives of such developments,” Arocca said.
“This is a great opportunity for Western Australia as a state to attract more motor sport events to its calendar.
“CAMS looks forward to working closely with those behind the proposal.”
The Keysbrook circuit will become Western Australia’s third venue alongside Barbagallo Raceway in Pinjar and Collie Motorplex, south-east of Perth.
Stati Group has confirmed its intention is to work with the long-established facilities in an effort to increase the opportunities for the market in the west and cater for the growing interest in ride/drive day and corporate events.
