Brad Jones Racing has confirmed yet more changes in the lead up to the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars season with the signing of new gas partner Coregas.

The new three year deal with Coregas ends the teams long association with BOC that stretches back to its time in the Super Touring series during the mid-1990s.

“2018 sees an exciting new partnership between Coregas and BJR. Coregas are looking at how we can use gas in the BJR workshop easier, faster and safer which is key for any workshop.” said team owner Kim Jones.

“Our previous gas supplier provided us with a fantastic service over the years, which extended back to our super-touring days through to Supercars. We can only hope for this partnership to be as successful.”

Coregas is the largest Australian-owned industrial, medical and specialty gas company and part of the Wesfarmers group of companies which has been hinted to have a larger role with the team.

“Coregas is part of the Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety network, which forms part of another partner announcement we are excited to make in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.” Jones continued.

It’s been a busy offseason for the Brad Jones Racing crew, building two new ZB Commodores for Nick Percat and Tim Slade. While Tim Blanchard’s has been stripped back, ready for it’s new ZB bodywork.

The team has also made the switch from Noonan Race Engines to KRE, the same engines as Triple Eight.
