Former Walkinshaw Racing managing director Adrian Burgess will lead Tekno Autosports in the 2018 Supercars Championship.Burgess joined the team in an advisory roll at Sandown and joined the single-car Holden squad at the season finale at Newcastle. He parted ways with Walkinshaw Racing in May and will now join Tekno full-time in 2018.

Burgess has been part of championship winning teams at Triple Eight Race Engineering and Dick Johnson Racing before joining Walkinshaw Racing in 2014. Before his stint in Supercars, the Englishman was a member of the McLaren team in the early 90’s and was the sporting director at Jordan Grand Prix in 2005.

Tekno will undergo a revamp after driver Will Davison announced he was leaving to join the restructured Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport team, 23Red for 2018. It is highly likely that Super2 Series driver Jack Le Brocq will join the Tekno for the 2018 season.

Tekno had a disappointing season after its Bathurst triumph in 2016, with Davison finishing 15th in the championship.
