World Time Attack Challenge will feature a star-studded line up it’s night-time Honeywell Garrett International Drift Challenge.

Taking place on both nights of the 13th and 14th of October event, the Drift Challenge see Australia’s and some of the worlds best drifters battle it out on a high-speed course over the final three corners of the Sydney Motorsport Park layout.

Headlining the Drift Challenge will be international stars Mad Mike Whiddett and Daigo Saito. The Kiwi Whiddett will bring along his famous flaming Red Bull backed BADBUL RX8, while the Japanese Saito will well equiped with his Formula Drift winning Monster Energy backed Lexus SC 430.

Also joining the field will be 2016 Supercars Champion Shane Van Gisbergen, who will steer the MCA Suspension Nissan 370Z. Even though he hasn’t competing in a drifting competition recently, the Giz has put his drifting skills to good use in victory celebrations at Supercars events.

Defending 2016 Drift Challenge champion Michael Rosenblatt will return to attempt to keep his crown, back behind the wheel of his Nulon Oils R32 Skyline.

Rosenblatt will lead the local contingent, that includes likes of Beau Yates, Alex Sciacca, Jake Jones, Levi Clarke and Robert Whyte.

New Zealand will also be strongly represented, in addition the Mad Mike and the Giz, with the likes of Dylan Woolhouse, Darren Kelly, Dave Steedman and Adam Davies.

Even though he’s not competing in the Drift Challenge, the Drift King himself, Keiichi Tsuchiya, will also be in attendance at World Time Attack showcasing racing talent in his famous Hot Version TRD N2 AE86.

The Honeywell Garrett International Drift Challenge will feature practice and qualifying on the Friday night, before the Round of 32 competition on the Saturday night.
