Following a meeting of the FIA World Council overnight, the World Endurance Championship (WEC) have issued a revised calendar for their 2018/2019 “Super Season”.

The most notable adjustments to the provisional calendar released earlier in the September are the inclusion of Silverstone in August, replacing the February “TBA Round”, and slight change to the Sebring event.

Sebring will change from a 12 Hour time certain event to a 1500 mile (2414km) distance race to distinguish the event for the IMSA race of the same weekend. Competitors will race over 402 laps for the Florida track, which should see the race completed in roughly 12 hours.
