Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport have taken a step back in time with it’s two retro liveries for this weekends Sandown 500.

Car No. 62 of Alex Rullo and Alex Davison will run a retro inspired livery based off  longtime partner Phil Monday’s Panel Works original company logo from when it first opened its doors in 1977 in Bayswater, Victoria.

“I started in business when I was 19 with a small panel shop, this was my very first company logo! It’s hard to believe it was almost 40 years ago,” laughed Munday.

“Our livery is based around the 40 year anniversary this year, we have had some retro themed t-shirts made for all our long time staff who have worked with me over the 40 years.

“The design turned out so well we decided to carry it across to the retro round as it was a great celebration of the business.

“It’s great to have the retro round where everyone has the chance to show off their old school designs! A lot of creativity and thought goes into this round”

Over on the other side of the garage the Plus Fitness backed No. 3 car of Aaren Russell and Taz Douglas will use a retro inspired livery based of their main sponsors original 1996 logo.

“We have used our first ever logo which we all thinks looks pretty retro even for the 90’s so we are confident the car will look great on the track, Said John Fuller – Founding Director.

“We are really pleased to have contributed in some way to this special round and join in as part of the retro theme.”

The two LDM cars will take to the track tomorrow for practice ahead of the Sandown 500.
