Do or die as Finals fight gets fierce at Bathurst

Date posted: 9 October 2025
Only four Finals berths remain open after The Bend 500, with the cut to fall after the Bathurst 1000.
The teams will also roll into Mount Panorama with a revised pitlane order that could shape strategy for those in the bottom half of the lane.
Six drivers are already locked into the three-round Finals with Cam Waters, Chaz Mostert, Brodie Kostecki joining Broc Feeney, Matt Payne, and Will Brown as title contenders after solid outings at The Bend.
The bubble is headed by Anton De Pasquale in seventh, followed by Ryan Wood and Thomas Randle, with Kai Allen clinging to 10th by 18 points over Andre Heimgartner who had a costly last place finish at Tailem Bend.
The reset comes after the first leg of the Ryco Enduro Cup, where Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood banked maximum points to lead into Bathurst.
Supercars’ new Finals format takes the top ten after Bathurst, with automatic entries for the Sprint Cup and Enduro Cup winners, then runs through Gold Coast, Sandown and Adelaide to decide the title. With one long race left in the regular season, every point at Mount Panorama matters, especially for those sitting between seventh and twelfth.
The winner of the Sprint Cup (Feeney) and the winner of the Ryco Enduro Cup get an automatic run in the Finals, and then the rest down to 10th are made up from the points. Nick Percat is the highest-placing driver in the Enduro Cup not inside the top 10 of the points, so a good day at Mount Panorama could see him jump 10th in the points.
