Price to take on ARC

Racing legend Toby Price will continue his dirt journey to the heights of the Australian Rally Championship in a class.

The two-time Dakar Rally winner will be the headline driver in the ARC’s one-make class, the Subaru WRX Challenge.

Price will be steering a Maximum Motorsport prepared car the the WA based Forest Rally on May 23-25.

It continues Price’s rallying career having won Baja 1000 and Finke Desert Race competed in a variety of state events and he is making strong progress.

He not only took part in the South Australian Rally Championship Rally heartland event recently, but he also won it with Holly Kilbride.

The pair will reunite to take on the ARC’s new Subaru WRX Challenge.

“I’m absolutely stoked to be making my ARC debut as part of the Subaru WRX Challenge at Forest Rally,” Price said.

“The ARC is so strong right now with some great competition throughout the field. Same goes for the Subaru WRX Challenge, and being a one-make series, there will be some really great battles in our category and I can’t wait to get to WA and tackle this opportunity head on.

“I’ve heard and seen so many amazing things about the Forest Rally, both when it comes to the stages and the unique surface we’ll be rallying on and also how well organised this event is by the WA Car Club.

“I can’t wait to get to shakedown and really get to know the Subaru WRX and take on those iconic WA roads with Holly in the co-driver seat.”

A big reason behind Price’s ARC entry in Subaru WRX Challenge is the experienced Glenn Brinkman and the Dakar winner said he has been a major part of his development.

“Glenn has been a huge supporter in my rally journey to date and being able to join him in the Subaru WRX Challenge is an awesome opportunity, we’ll certainly be fighting hard to make sure he doesn’t have it easy out on stage.”
The Forest Rally is the second ARC round, but the first of the Subaru WRX Challenge on May 23-25.
