Erebus shows off fresh branding for #9 Camaro

By Timothy Neal

Erebus Motorsport launched its 2025 Supercars season, with Tyrepower returning as Jack Le Brocq’s major season sponsor, whilst rookie Cooper Murray will sport an altered version of the Bathurst winning CHIKO branding.

The 2024 Bathurst 1000 winning squad and 2023 champions enter the new season with a renewed fervour to keep the trophies rolling, with rookie sensation Cooper Murray carrying over the CHIKO livery that took the mountain in the #99 Chevrolet Camaro.

And as for the more senior stay in the team, Le Brocq enters his second season with the Melbourne based team with the renewed backing of Tyrepower, but a fresh and bold new look on his #9 Camaro.

“The new Tyrepower livery looks awesome, it’s bold, modern, and fast,” Jack commented.

“It’s fantastic to have their continued support and have them on board for the full season, and I can’t wait to get back out there and see what we can do.”

Erebus Motorsport CEO Barry Ryan also shared his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership of the #9 and Tyrepower.

“Tyrepower was a fantastic partner to our team in 2024, and we’re excited to continue the journey together in 2025,” Ryan said.

“Their commitment to the team has been unwavering, and this fresh new livery is a great reflection of the trust they have in us to push the partnership even further this year.”

On the #99 side of the garage, the iconic CHIKO brand returns with a brand-new livery following its fairytale return to motorsport with Erebus last year.

Rookie Cooper Murray will take over the Bathurst winning CHIKO livery for the 2025 Supercars season.

The look is a take on a livery originally designed as an alternative option for the 2024 Bathurst-winning car, with Cooper himself joining forces with Erebus Commercial Manager Carly Hammersley to tweak the design for 2025.

“I had a great time working on the CHIKO livery with Carly,” the Rookie said.

“Fans fell in love with last year’s car, so we wanted to retain that feel but add a fresh, fun twist for 2025. It’s bold, it’s eye-catching, and I can’t wait to race it under the lights at SMP!”

With the #99 also having a revolving sponsorship model, Ryan said that it also offers opportunities for those wanting to be involved as the season progresses.

“We understand that many brands want the impact of a primary partnership but may not have the budget to make it happen in the current climate,”Ryan continued.

“That’s why we’ve developed a flexible model for that car that allows brands to enjoy all the benefits of a primary partnership—at a significantly reduced spend—while still securing a spot on the car throughout the entire season.

“It’s a unique opportunity that offers fantastic exposure, and we’re confident Cooper’s going to make a big impact this season.”
