Matt Stone Racing has employed veteran Tim Slade as Nick Percat’s co-driver for the 2025 Supercar Enduro’s at The Bend and Bathurst in the #10 Camaro.
Slade retired as a full-time Supercars driver in 2024 after two years spent within the PremiAir camp, ending a two-win 451 race career in the V8’s, but like many others before him, he’ll return as an old hat with valuable Enduro experience.
He joins a resurgent Percat who took two Sprint wins and a consistent spate of top-ten’s for MSR last season to claim an eighth place finish by season’s end.

The former BJR teammates and SA compatriots will get the chance of an Enduro in their home state prior to Bathurst, and Slade is eager to get involved in the environment with some familiar faces on hand.
“I’m looking forward to teaming up with Nick and the team at MSR for The Bend and Bathurst later this year,” Slade began.
“The team has achieved some great results since the inception of Gen3 and Nick obviously had a strong first year with the team, collecting a couple of wins.
“There’s lots of familiar faces having worked with not only Nick previously but also Matt, Jimmy and some of the key staff from SBR back in the day. Another familiar face is James Rosenberg who has had some involvement with the team for a while now, so racing aside, it’s a really nice fit.”

For owner Team Owner Matt Stone – who has successfully managed to stickhis nose amongst the bigger garages re the win stakes over the last few season’s – he feels that the signing gives them its strongest position heading into a Bathurst 1000 than he’s ever known.
“Signing Tim as a co-driver alongside Nick puts MSR in the best position we have ever been as a team to win the Bathurst 1000,” he iterated.
“It’s great to be reunited with him for the first time since the Stone Brothers Racing days. Tim has been one of the most consistent and respected drivers in the Supercars paddock for almost two decades and we are thrilled to have him onboard.
We’re looking forward to working with him across all of our testing and race programs and getting him settled into our outfit.”
Slade will participate in all of the team’s test days and will be at the track at selected meetings to integrate himself with the team.
For Percat and MSR teammate Cameron Hill, the opening round of the 2025 Supercars Championship kicks off at SMP on February 21-23.

It originated from the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), which held its first race in 1960 at Gnoo-Blas in Orange, New South Wales. The ATCC evolved over the years, and in 1997, it was rebranded as the V8 Supercars Championship, eventually becoming the Supercars Championship we know today.
Some of the leading drivers in the history of the Supercars Championship include Peter Brock, who is often referred to as the "King of the Mountain" for his nine victories at the Bathurst 1000, a race that is considered one of the biggest in the series. Other notable drivers include Dick Johnson, Marcos Ambrose, Craig Lowndes, Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup, who holds the record for the most championship titles, and Mark Skaife, who has also been a dominant force in the series.
The Bathurst 1000, held at Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, is arguably the most famous race in the Supercars calendar. Other significant races include the Sandown 500 and the Adelaide 500, which are known for their challenging circuits and thrilling competitions.
