SA triple header wraps up 2025 Trans Am season

South Australia will take centre stage in the 2025 Trans Am season, which has confirmed a new-look seven-round calendar.
Whilst there are two TBC rounds still to be confirmed, five familiar tracks will remain on the circuit, but a new one will kick things off.
A Trans Am season launch will be held at Baskerville Raceway on Thursday, March 20 where the full grid will complete a day of practice before a competitive shootout at the historic circuit.
It will commence the 2025 Race Tasmania events which will see the opening Trans Am round take centre stage at the iconic Symmons Plains Raceway the following weekend.
A month later the series will return to Mount Panorama, this time for an early-season fling as a support act to the Bathurst 6 Hour.
Round 3 is the first of the TBCs before a new Race Winton event is held in August.
It will see the return of Trans Am to Benalla after the popular Victorian circuit did not feature on the 2024 schedule.
For the rest of the year, the Trans Am teams will be competing in South Australia for the run to the title.
Kicking off the SA triple header is The Bend 500 Supercars enduro where the TCR World Tour will also be on show.
The sixth and penultimate round is the second TBC, but South Australia has been placed as the location on the calendar and the press release suggests an “exciting announcement” is looming.
Just like this year, the famous streets of Adelaide will be a grand stage to decide the Trans Am champion.
In 2024 Trans Am is returning to the South Australian capital for the first time in four years, while next year the category will be back for the Grand Final.
Tracks that were used this year that are not on the initial 2025 calendar are Queensland Raceway, Sandown and Phillip Island.
The 2024 season has seen Trans Am grow with star Supercars drivers such as James Golding, Todd Hazelwood and Tim Slade race regularly.
“Our 2025 calendar is a fantastic evolution for our series which builds upon the successful years we’ve already had and sets us up for an even bigger and better season of racing,” said Trans Am Category Manager Graham Sattler.
“This gives us the opportunity to showcase the immense talent within Trans Am on a larger scale at some of the country’s showpiece events.
“We look forward to sharing more details around 2025 in the near future, but now our attention turns to wrapping up our season with an incredible event at the VAILO Adelaide 500.”
