BJR bringing crashed chassis back to life

By Auto Action

The Andre Heimgartner ZB Commodore chassis that was crunched in the horrific 2022 start line crash at The Bend is being brought back to life.

Brad Jones racing revealed chassis BJR 012, dubbed “Cathy” is being repurposed in his latest video.

The chassis that was also raced by Nick Percat 2020 and 2021 has been rebuilt to be given new life as a “Project Car.”

The ZB Commodore was deemed to be unfit to be raced again after an unsighted Heimgartner hit a stalled Thomas Randle in a 38G impact at the start of the second race of the 2022 trip to The Bend.

Jones explained the work they have done to repair the chassis in his latest video where he also took the opportunity to showcase the chassis tubing thickness.
