The Porsche Carrera Cup Australia returns to the top end with a wide open fight for victory anticipated.
After a maiden trip across the ditch in Taupo, the Carrera Cup heads to Hidden Valley Raceway on a record streak of eight winners in as many rounds.
Despite many drivers fighting at the front, there is one driver, who comes to the Indigenous Round as the clear favourite.
Veteran Dale Wood knows how to get the job done at Hidden Valley, impressively winning the last five and six of the last eight Carrera Cup races in Darwin.
In fact it is Wood who brings the run of different round winners to an end being the last repeat winner and he would love nothing more than to finish the streak with more top end success.
Since Wood’s Hidden Valley win, Alex Davison prevailed at Townsville, Callum Hedge had his moment at The Bend, Dylan O’Keeffe edged ahead at Sandown, Harry King arrived and won at Bathurst, Bayley Hall had his moment on the Gold Coast before Wood ended 2023 on the top step.

Dale Wood owns Hidden Valley.
In 2024 Harri Jones started imperiously at Albert Park, while David Russell tamed Taupo.
A 24-car field will line up on the grid with the return of a champion in David Wall, who will make his first Carrera Cup appearance of 2024.
The current stands are led by Jones with a 10-point advantage over Russell, with hard charger Jackson Walls sitting third having made a number of impressive recovery drives.
Youngster Nash Morris is getting into the Indigenous Round spirit by sporting a special livery for the occasion on his Scott Taylor Motorsport machine.
In Pro Am Adrian Flack enjoys a dominant position thanks to a streak of five races leading the class.
