SUNGOLD Stadium Premier Speedway will be alive with an all-V8 program of racing this weekend in Warrnambool.

Nearly-30 Sprintcars, more-than 21 Pro Sprintcars, and Super Rods are already expected to line up to compete at the south-west Victorian speedway this Saturday 16 March.

Local racer, the Warrnambool Track Championship points leader, Jamie Veal is set to be part of the field, as are the series’ Brock Hallett and Cameron Waters.

Former national champ, Jock Goodyer is expected to drive a Sprintcar and Pro Sprintcar.

The Pro Sprintcars racing doubles as round five of the C&H Trucking Series, with Andy Hibbert, Josh Buckingham, Dennis Jones, Jake Smith, Shane Steenholdt, Sam Wren, Steven Horton, Adam Greenwood, Mark Phillips and Jamie Phillips included in the registrations.

The annual Super Rod Cup will mark round three of the inaugural Super Rod Track Championship, with Victorian champion Jacob Pitcher expected.

“Make sure you are trackside at Sungold Stadium Premier Speedway this Saturday night for a fantastic program of racing presented by Wheelie Waste,” said Premier Speedway general manager, Michael Parry.

Public gates open at 4pm, with racing from 5.30pm. Visit premierspeedway.com.au for more information.

Nominations will be updated through the week.
