STM’s Bathurst 12 hour campaign livery revealed

By Reese Mautone

Scott Taylor Motorsport reveals their Repco Bathurst 12 Hour livery, featuring the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia with their “stealthy” Mercedes-AMG livery.

The #222 Mercedes-AMG will sport STM’s traditional green and black primary colours with silver and red highlights, however, in a new design for this year’s race.

The livery was created by well-known livery designer Tim Pattinson, who has encompassed the Southern Cross to showcase the team’s proud Australian roots and embrace the all-Aussie driver lineup.

The design also displays support from BP Ultimate, who join STM as a partner.

The rear wing of the AMG GT3 will display #GetChecked for the event.

The STM car, driven by Craig Lowndes, Thomas Randle and Cameron Waters, and run by Ash Seward Motorsport, has its primary signage dedicated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia for the third straight year.

The large rear wing of the AMG GT3 features the #GetChecked tag, reminding 12 Hour fans to look after their own health.

To strengthen this message, the STM team has launched a new website, www.pcfa222stm.org, where donations for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia can be lodged with over $10,000 already donated from early backers.

This is the third straight year of partnership between STM and PCFA.

Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia CEO, Anne Savage, gave the team her backing ahead of the event, commending STM on leading the race in accelerating awareness of Australia’s most common male cancer.

“Craig Lowndes and Scott Taylor Motorsport are outright leaders on prostate cancer in Australia,” she said.

“Over the past two years this partnership has put us in pole position to help close the distance between awareness and action, ensuring Australian men detect prostate cancer early and beat it.

“With increasing numbers of Australian men at risk of a diagnosis, we’re hugely proud to see the STM Mercedes AMG GT3 sporting our message to Get Checked.

“With the extra support for our cause, in Thomas Randle and Cameron Waters – In our books, this team will be hard to beat.”

In the lead-up to their trip to Mount Panorama across the February 16-18 weekend, STM completed a test day at Phillip Island this week.
