The Wiggles will help create extra excitement around the Bathurst 500 with a free concert and driver autograph session taking place on the eve of the Supercars season opener.
On the Thursday night before the Supercars season fires up on February 23, a free concert headed by the Australian based global children’s music group will be staged at Mount Panorama.
The concert that will take place between 17.00-18.00 AEDT will be immediately followed by an autograph session including the entire 2024 Supercars grid. An outdoor cinema screening NASCAR comedy Talladega Nights will also be part of the fun.
These festivities are part of the wider Bathurst SuperFest which incorporates both the Bathurst 12 Hour endurance race and Supercars season opener which will take place on back to back weekends from February 16-18 and February 23-25 respectively.
The SuperFest site itself on Russell Street, Bathurst will be active from Monday, February 19 through Thursday, February 22, entertaining fans with live music, food trucks, movies, and more on the week between the big races.
Triple Eight Race Engineering recruit Will Brown iOS looking forward to welcoming The Wiggles and their “big red car” to Mount Panorama.
The 2024 Supercars season begins at Bathurst.
“It’s awesome to have The Wiggles coming to town ahead of the Thrifty Bathurst 500, I’m still waiting for the official call-up!” Brown joked.
“But at the moment I’m hoping I’ll be the first Red, Blue and Yellow Wiggle all in one!
“The Bathurst SuperFest is going to be a great event for fans of all ages, and off-track it won’t get much bigger than the Thursday night between race weekends.
“With the concert, a signing session with all of us drivers, and the outdoor cinema, and some more cool stuff in the works, it’s going to be a huge couple of weeks leading into the Thrifty Bathurst 500, and to top it off we get to go racing at the Mountain. I can’t wait, let’s get that fruit salad!”
The Wiggles are excited to add a Supercars event to their long list of shows.
“We’re so excited to be bringing the Big Red Car to the Thrifty Bathurst 500 where we’ll be performing
all our favourite Wiggly songs,” The Wiggles said.
“The energy and atmosphere at Supercars events are always exhilarating for families and we can’t wait to be a part of it and to see you all there!”

'description' => 'The Supercars Championship, currently known as the Repco Supercars Championship, is the premier motorsport category in Australasia and one of Australia\'s biggest sports. It originated from the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), which held its first race in 1960 at Gnoo-Blas in Orange, New South Wales. The ATCC evolved over the years, and in 1997, it was rebranded as the V8 Supercars Championship, eventually becoming the Supercars Championship we know today.
Some of the leading drivers in the history of the Supercars Championship include Peter Brock, who is often referred to as the "King of the Mountain" for his nine victories at the Bathurst 1000, a race that is considered one of the biggest in the series. Other notable drivers include Dick Johnson, Marcos Ambrose, Craig Lowndes, Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup, who holds the record for the most championship titles, and Mark Skaife, who has also been a dominant force in the series.
The Bathurst 1000, held at Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, is arguably the most famous race in the Supercars calendar. Other significant races include the Sandown 500 and the Adelaide 500, which are known for their challenging circuits and thrilling competitions.
