Bright new look for VR46

2024 VR46 livery motogp

The VR46 Racing Team will speed into the 2024 MotoGP World Championship with a bright and bold new look.

Across the first two seasons in MotoGP, Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP team has carried black and green liveries, but that has all been changed.

This year foundation rider Marco Bezzecchi and new recruit Fabio Di Giannantonio will race with significantly brighter green and white bikes.

Marco Bezzecchi welcomes new VR46 teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Last season was a significant one of growth for VR46 as it finished a strong third in the constructors championship after Bezzecchi scored the team’s first three Grand Prix wins in memorable fashion at Argentina, France and India.

The Italian also finished a strong third in the riders standings having collected further podiums at Portugal and San Marino.

After a standout 2023, Bezzecchi wants to lead the team to further heights in 2024.

“It will be my third season in MotoGP and I am happy to be on the track once again with the same crew at Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team and riding a Ducati,” he said.

“I would like to do something similar to what we did in 2023: be competitive, consistent, get on the podium and have good races.

“I also really like the new livery, completely different, something that has never been seen in MotoGP.

“I expect a hard-fought Championship, of the highest level and with many strong riders and bikes. “We can do two things: have fun and try to be among the protagonists.”

Marco Bezzecchi took three wins in a special 2023 season.

For the first time in his career Bezzecchi will have a new teammate after the departure of Luca Marini, who replaces Marc Marquez at Repsol Honda.

In the Italian’s place is Di Giannantonio, who arrives after impressing for Gresini Ducati last year and getting a breakthrough win at Qatar.

In new colours the 25-year-old is buoyed by what is possible.

“I’m really excited and can’t wait,” Di Giannantonio said.

“For me it is the first year at Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team.

“We met at the Valencia test at the end of the year, when we tried the Ducati package that we will use this season and the feelings were immediately positive. “We have a great potential to achieve our ambitions.”

The next team to reveal its 2024 colours is newcomer Trackhouse Racing on Friday, January 26.
