Last Brabham GP car set for Adelaide Streets

The last built Brabham Grand Prix car, the 1992 Brabham BT60B Judd, has been confirmed for an appearance at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival.
Over the course of the 1992 season, the BT60B was piloted by Eric van de Poele, Damon Hill, and the last female racer to have entered a Grand Prix, Giovanna Amati.
Following that season, the Brabham team folded following the Hungarian GP, meaning the BT60B never made it to Australia for the season closing Adelaide Grand Prix.

The Brabham BT60B, the last Brabham racing car, will make its debut at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival
After more than 30 years for what could have been its last hurrah, the BT60B will finally take to the streets of Adelaide.
The mid-engine car, modified from the BT60Y, was Designed by Sergio Rinland, powered by Judd GV V10 engine.
The car brought 30 years of purpose built racing cars to a close for Brabham, with Hill giving the car it’s highest finish in its sendoff GP with a P11.
It was a disastrous final year for the Brabham builds, with the car only qualifying for three races: Kyalami in South Africa, Silverstone in England, and the Hungaroring in Hungry, four rounds before the Adelaide Grand Prix.
The 2023 Adelaide Motorsport Festival celebrates the history of the Brabham team founded by Australian legend Sir Jack Brabham.
Bringing this car out celebrates the team’s 30-year history in Formula 1, 30 years since its closure, and on the 40th anniversary of its last Formula 1 drivers’ championship win (Nelson Piquet in 1983).

The Brabham BT60B missed out on the Adelaide GP 30 ago, making it a fitting 30th anniversary return for the last Brabham build
The last Brabham grand prix car to score a podium in Formula 1, the 1989 Brabham BT58 Judd, as driven by Martin Brundle and Stefano Modena during the 1989 Formula 1 season, will also be at the 2023 Adelaide Motorsport Festival with two BT58s on track.
More Formula 1 cars, sportscars, rally cars, touring cars and others attending the event will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Held on the Victoria Park section of the Adelaide Street Circuit, the action at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival is fast, furious and frequently changing, with a different category of vehicles on track every 10 to 15 minutes.
The action includes open-wheelers headlined by classic Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars alongside Heritage Touring Cars, a special Invitational category alongside Demonstration sessions and more.
