MARINI TOPS DAY 2 OF MOTOGP TESTING

Luca Marini has topped the MotoGP pre-season testing timesheets at the Mandalika circuit, beating out motorcycle legend Marc Marquez.
Riding for Mooney VR46 Racing Team, the 24-year-old half brother of Valentino Rossi managed a 1m 31.289s around the Indonesian track.
Eight-time champion Marquez was 0.192s in arrears, on the pace after returning from an injury-ravaged off season.
Maverick Vinales jumped into the top three on the second day of testing, despite suffering from an issue braking on the side of the tyre which has lost him time in the final sector consistently.
Less than a second covered 18 riders heading into the final day of pre-season on Sunday, reigning champion Fabio Quartararo following Vinales in the standings while Joan Mir and Johann Zarco set identical times 0.297s off the leader.
The fastest rider in Sepang Enea Bastianini was seventh fastest on his Ducati machine.
Pol Espargaro, who topped the running on Day 1, made it two factory Hondas in the top 10 by ending the day in P8, 0.316s away from top spot.
Pramac Racing rider Jorge Martin was ninth, while Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) completed the top 10 after a difficult first day on the track.
Brad Binder, Franco Morbidelli and Alex Rins all narrowly missed out on a top 10 spot, coming within 0.6s of the pacesetter.
After achieving a top three time on the first day, Aleix Espargaro found the going more challenging on Day 2 to sit 14th.
The Aussie riders had a tough day in Indonesia, finishing down at the foot of the timesheets.
Ducati rider Jack Miller was the best performer in 20th, while KTM rookie Remy Gardner was 23rd as he continues to nurse an injury.
