The vaccination status of David Reynolds is being investigated by NSW Health and has been reported in the mainstream media as such.

His participation in future Supercar events in Sydney is now under a cloud as investigations proceed.

The Mustang racer was barely seen through the first weekend of racing at Sydney Motorsport Park and his Kelly Grove Racing crew were heavily masked.

Reynolds also walked directly from the team’s transporter – fully-kitted including gloves, helmet and HANS device – to his car each time he was heading onto the track.

His behaviour promoted the questions and some rumours about his Covid-19 status.

“Every member of our crew at the track complied with the NSW Health requirements,” team owner, Stephen Grove told Auto Action.

Supercars was contacted but is not prepared to comment on the health status of any individual in the sport, other than to say that all participants were compliant with NSW Health regulations.

Reynolds was also contacted a number of times by Auto Action but did not respond.
