Aussie Formula 2 Championship driver Oscar Piastri revealed in the latest edition of his AA column on sale today that he is set to complete his third Formula 1 test.

The Alpine junior driver will test the Alpine car for the full day at the Cathedral of Speed in Italy next Monday.

Previously Piastri tested at the Bahrain International Circuit and Silverstone, and Monza will prove to be another new challenge.

The 20-year-old currently sits at the top of the Formula 2 drivers’ standings after a solid points haul at the last round at the Silverstone circuit.

He recorded finishes of sixth, fourth and third across the British Grand Prix weekend, taking him 5 points clear of Chinese title rival and fellow Alpine Academy member Guanyu Zhou.

Piastri has been a member of the Alpine Academy for two years now, currently joined by Dane Christian Lundgaard, Brazilian Caio Collet, Zhou and Frenchman Victor Martins.

Piastri is the reigning Formula 3 champion and won Race 2 of his first F2 round in Bahrain.

Piastri and Zhou shared driving duties during a two-day Alpine F1 Team test earlier in the year at Silverstone.
