WHERE TO WATCH THE INDY 500

Reigning Supercars champion Scott McLaughlin’s Indianapolis 500 debut will be shown live on Foxtel.
The telecast is scheduled to run from 1 am to 6 am AEST on Monday (May 31) on Fox Sports channels 506 and 506 HD.
Final ‘Carb Day’ practice will be aired from 1 am to 3.30 am AEST tomorrow (Saturday, May 29).
Australia-raised New Zealander McLaughlin will start his Pennzoil Dallara/Chev from 17th in the middle of the sixth row of the 33-car starting line-up.
He qualified at a four-lap average of 371.196 km/h (230.557 mph) – just 1.816 km/h (1.128 mph) slower than the pole-winning speed.
The IndyCar rookie was the fastest of Team Penske’s four entries, outpacing Josef Newgarden (21st), Simon Pagenaud (26th) and Australia’s 2018 winner Will Power (32nd).
McLaughlin’s compatriot Scott Dixon is on the pole, aiming for his second Indy 500 victory. He won from the pole in 2008.
The 105th running of ‘The Greatest Spectacle In Racing’ is due to be flagged away at 2.45 am AEST on Monday
The race is 200 laps of the 4 km (2.5 mile) Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Fox Sports’ coverage will also be streamed on Kayo Sports and Foxtel Now, both of which are offering 14-day free trials.
The Indy 500 broadcast’s commentary team will be led by US-based Australian Leigh Diffey.
As far as we can tell, not even delayed highlights of the 500 are scheduled on Australian free-to-air TV.
