BATHURST 1000 CROWD BOOST

By Mark Fogarty

The best indication yet that October’s Bathurst 1000 will allow unrestricted crowds is that all camping grounds will be open.

Supercars has confirmed that the eight camping areas at Mount Panorama are available for bookings.

At this stage, camping in the paddock, McPhillamy, Reid, Sulman and Max Cameron Parks, plus The Chase, The Orchard, Enduro and The Motorhome areas will be in operation.

The Bathurst 1000 will run from 7-10 October.

Supercars has announced that all the camping grounds will be available, suggesting spectator attendance will also return to pre-COVID levels of more than 60,000 on race day.

Fans who camped in 2019 or chose not to renew for last year’s event because of restrictions will have first right of refusal for campsites from 2 pm AEST next Tuesday, April 20 until 11.59 pm AEST Friday May 21.

Any campsites that are not purchased during the renewal period will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, June 15 at 2 pm AEST.

More information on camping at the 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000 (including FAQs and T&Cs) will be released on the Supercars website for updates.

According to Supercars, further information regarding trackside and grandstand tickets will be released in “coming weeks”.
