The 2018 Kumho V8 Touring Car Series Champion makes the step up to the Supercars championship after mixing a Super2 campaign with several wildcard appearances during 2019.

Continuing his association with Brad Jones Racing, the young gun will run a fourth entry prepared by the Albury based squad, and the 20-year-old is excited about making the step up to a full Supercars campaign this year.

“I’m really pumped about the season ahead,” said Smith.

“The car looks great and I think we’ve got a good look going into the new year. I’m really looking forward to getting more consistent and improving my racing career.”

“I’ve been with BJR since 2017 and I love being here. Having Paul (Forgie) as my engineer is great – he has so much experience and has helped me a lot. I can’t wait to get out there and start the season.”

Smith has seven championship round starts to his name following his wildcard appearances and Pirtek Enduro Cup starts during 2019.

The white, red and black design is an evolution of the one used by Smith during his wildcard card appearances last year and will make its public debut at Winton Raceway tomorrow for Smiths first test before the Supercars pre-season test at The Bend Motorsport Park on February 18th.
