BROC PARKES MOTOGP CALL UP FOR PHILLIP ISLAND
Australian Motorcycle Veteran, Broc Parkes has been called in to race at this weekend Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island.
The FIM Endurance World Championship Yamaha rider from the Hunter Valley will replace Jonas Folger in the Tech 3 Yamaha team after the German rider was forced to sit out last weekends round in Japan with a mystery illness.
Japanese rider Kohta Nozane had been called to fill in at Motegi. However, he broke his hand in a nasty practice crash in the lead up to the JapaneseGP. Leading to Parkes’ call up for Phillip Island.
“Of course, I would like to thank the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team for giving me the amazing opportunity to race at my home Grand Prix in front of all of my supporters, fans and family,” said Parkes.
“I am really looking forward to getting on the Yamaha YZR-M1 at Phillip Island and giving it my all.”
Phillip Island will mark Parkes’ for MotoGP start since Valencia in 2015.
