The voice of the Supercars Championship Neil Crompton will return when racing resumes next weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Crompton will re-join his long-time co-commentator Mark Skaife in the commentary box after being diagnosed with prostate cancer; he skipped a couple of rounds before the COVID-19 enforced break.

It will be the first time that Crompton has taken to the microphone alongside Skaife since The Bend Motorsport Park round in May.

The rest of the broadcast team has also been confirmed for the first round of the SMP quadruple header.

At SMP 1 the Supercars Championship races will be broadcast live on both Foxtel and Network Seven on free-to-air television.

As always Jess Yates will take the role of main host for the Foxtel broadcast, as well as the Network Seven feed.

Sunrise sports reporter Mark Beretta returns to the Supercars coverage as the Network Seven host.

A quartet of gentlemen will roam the pitlane during the event including three former drivers.

Super2 Series commentator Chad Neylon will be joined in the lane by reigning Bathurst 1000 winner Garth Tander, three-time Supercars champion Craig Lowndes and former full-timer Jack Perkins.

Although not at the track Mark Larkham will be part of the coverage. The popular reporter will present his informative tech pieces from the Hino Hub situated remotely at the Dick Johnson Racing Team workshop in Queensland.

Former Hi-5 star Charli Robinson will miss the Sydney rounds, but will be back for the Bathurst 1000.

All SMP 1 sessions will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo, while the Seven Network will broadcast live from 3:30pm AEDT on Saturday and 12:30pm AEDT on Sunday.

The conclusion of the 2021 Supercars Championship season contains four back-to-back races at SMP before the season ending Bathurst 1000.
