Honda NSX GT3

By Bruce Williams

Honda Performance Development (HPD) has announced that the Honda/Acura NSX GT3 will be upgraded ahead of 2022.

Dubbed the NSX GT3 Evo22, the latest evolution of the multiple championship-winning GT3 racer from the Japanese manufacturer will feature a number of important revisions.

Aimed to address team and driver needs in GT3 competition, the NSX GT3 Evo22 is expected to provide consistent performance across a wider range of conditions and drivers.

“We are extremely pleased to announce this latest development of the already highly-successful Acura NSX GT3,” said John Whiteman, HPD Manager, Commercial Motorsports.

“While the NSX has won races and titles in some of the world’s most prestigious GT3 series, we believe in constantly improving our products and providing the best possible equipment and support for our Acura Motorsports teams.”

The new Evo22 edition of the NSX will feature upgraded engine intercoolers, to ensure consistency in engine performance in a wider range of conditions; revised spring rates and suspension geometry adjustments; increased fluid tank sizes for endurance racing; wheel system revisions for faster tire changes; and a new, FIA-mandated rain light.

Additionally, new variant options will be available for the air conditioning system, and headlights.

The NSX GT3 Evo22 will remain available for new customer orders as a joint project between US-based Performance Manufacturing Center and the European JAS Motorsport with the revised model to be homologated through to 2024.
