KGR SHOWS OFF GEN3 FORD MUSTANG LOOKS

By Bruce Newton

Kelly Grove Racing have released images showing how the 2022 Gen3 Ford Mustang Supercars could look in its liveries.

While neither the 2022 car nor the liveries will necessarily be the same as what’s seen in these renders, they do underline KGR’s commitment to Ford.

As reported in the last issue of AUTO ACTION (1813), KGR has already ordered two complete chassis from Pace innovations to build into Mustangs.

One will be for Penrite Racing driver David Reynolds and the other for New Whiskey’s Andre Heimgartner, if negotiations to keep the out-of-contract driver with the team are successful.

“That looks pretty cool,” said KGR co-owner Todd Kelly. “It’s a really proper looking Mustang.”

Ahead of building the Gen3 cars, KGR intends to build a Gen2 Mustang for Heimgartner that should debut in August.
