Trans Am National Series frontrunners Aaron Seton and Nathan Herne will renew their title fight as support to the Bathurst 6 hour across the Easter long weekend.

After the opening pair of rounds this season, the pair are separated by just two-points approaching Bathurst where the category will make its formal debut as a standalone.

Experience will be key around The Mountain and Herne holds the upper hand after competing in the Aussie Tin Top races held as support to the Bathurst 1000 last year in the Dodge Challenger he uses in the series run by Dream Racing Australia.

Seton is no stranger to Bathurst as he achieved a class win at the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2018 and won last time out in Trans Am at Phillip Island.

Expected to challenge, Kyle Gurton was a breakout performer at Phillip Island, so too Tim Brook after experiencing setbacks at Symmons Plains.

Rookie Edan Thornburrow retains third in the points ahead of Owen Kelly, who has been the only regular competitor to Herne and Seton at the front of the field.

Andrew Fisher made his debut in one of these cars earlier this year, but joins the Trans Am National Series for the first time in a Chevrolet Camaro.

Making his maiden start in the series at Phillip Island, Dylan Thomas is expected to improve at Bathurst, so too returnee Aaron Tebb after missing the last round.

Again, second-generation racers Nash Morris and Ben Grice continue in the series, the latter after a disappointing round at Phillip Island.

In all, 26-cars will contest the three races, as action begins at 8:10am on Friday with opening practice.
