A car from the good old days of the sport’s pinnacle will be showcased at the event, owned by Brenton Grigoul the 1988 Larousse Lola will perform demonstration laps as it has done previously at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

Also, a highlight will be the attendance of Jim Richards, the seven-time Bathurst winner and inductee into the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame is not only a patron of the event, but will compete in his Porsche 911 GT3.

Dan Day is expected to be the man to beat in his heavily modified Subaru Impreza WRX STI having won the event two-times previously. Even so his weapon has been upgraded to ensure the Teakle Auto Sprint title stays in the local’s hands, but Richards will be a handful driving a marque that has delivered him eight Targa Tasmania titles.

Only 75-entries will be accepted for the event representing an eclectic array of marques, models and configurations to run on the expanded 1.5km course during two days of racing action.

The Port Lincoln Hotel hosts a large concert afterwards headlined by the cover band Angels and Oil playing a number of Australian classic hits.

To conclude, very importantly our spectators will be able to purchase tickets from December 2 at the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre either in-store or online. www.visitportlincoln.net.au.

Prices are $20 Adult each day with children under 14 free.
