The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge will conclude at The Bend this weekend with all three classes up for grabs.

Harri Jones holds a 92-point advantage over Aaron Love in the outright title battle, but with three races adding up to a total of 180-points, the recently crowned Jim Richards Endurance Trophy winner can’t be content. And if you think Jones and the McElrea Racing crew aren’t taking any chances, it completed a test day at the circuit in preparation.

Sonic Motor Racing Services driver Max Vidau is also a mathematical chance to snatch the outright Pro title, but is 142-points behind Jones. The weekend will be eagerly contested as race win s will be eagerly contested between the lead three, Pancione, Tom Taplin and Ryan Suhle, who all have been consistent contenders throughout the second half of the season.

The Bend circuit owner Sam Shahin holds a 73-point lead in the Pro-Am points over Brett Boulton and comes off three wins in the equivalent class for the final round of Porsche Carrera Cup Australia on the Gold Coast.

Ross McGregor is a slim chance of the class win, though at 157-points in arrears of the class lead so has an uphill battle to take the Pro-Am victory, but remains well clear of the battle for fourth between Rob Woods, Michael Hovey and Graham Williams.

The closest battle is in Class B for older-specification GT3 Cup Cars where just 30-points separate Andrew Goldie and David Greig in the race for the class. Nathan Murray is assured third after Tony Martin injured his hand earlier in the year.

All three races will occur on Saturday starting with Race 1 at 9:00am AEDT.
