Penrite Racing has unveiled a special livery on its Holden Commodore’s will carry for this weekend’s Bathurst 1000.

The revamped gold scheme is an evolution of what David Reynolds and Luke Youlden carried in last year’s 1000-kilometre race, which they led for 112 laps.

“I think it looks fantastic, it reminds me a lot of last year,” said Reynolds.

“I hope it’s a good omen, last year we had very good pace so hopefully we can start on a positive.”

In the fifth year of Penrite’s relationship with the now Holden squad, Reynolds is again joined by Youlden, and Anton De Pasquale with Will Brown.

“We are calling the car ‘liquid gold’,” said Toby Dymond, Penrite Oil’s General Manager – Sales & Marketing.

“We started our journey together with Erebus in 2015, so for our fifth year we wanted to come back with another gold livery.”

The 100% Australian made and owned company debuted on the team’s E63s as naming rights partner at Bathurst and have since enjoyed many successes.

The results tally includes 20 podiums and four wins, including 2017’s Great Race.

“Last year we had great feedback on the car from customers and fans, so we wanted to come back bigger and better than what we had last year,” Dymond said.

Also synonymous with the Penrite brand, both Holden’s will carry a Southern Cross at the rear of the car.

The new look is capped off with additional branding from current sponsors, Ryco Filters and Snap-on Tools.

Automotive aftermarket icon, Ryco, has upped their support for this weekend’s big race, with their logo displayed on the front windscreen of both Commodores.

“Ryco Filters has a great relationship Penrite Racing, and could not be prouder of the success the team has achieved whilst we have been involved,” Ryco Filters General Manager – Marketing, Jeff Turner said.

“We are thrilled to expand our support, especially for the iconic Australian event that is the Great Race!”

Snap-on Tools features on the front lip of the splitter.

The 2019 Bathurst 1000 kicks off tomorrow with practice at 9:55am AEDT.
